I graduated from Edmund Morgan Neuromuscular and Massage Therapy in November 2005. I recently received my 200hr yoga teacher training, and I am also a certified PiYo and Barre instructor. I am honored to be a part of this yoga studio as a teacher and massage therapist.
I started practicing yoga in 2005, and fell in love! Even though my balance was horrible and I could barely touch my toes, I kept coming back each week. I was NEVER an “athletic” person, but wanted to stay active. Yoga is very forgiving and always welcomes you back with open arms. I completed my 200 Hr Yoga Teacher Training in 2014 and also became certified as a Barre Instructor. I love being around people and sharing all the wonderful benefits that yoga can bring into a person’s life. I live in Mooresville with my husband Doug and our fur baby. Blessings & Peace Out 😉
I became a yoga devotee after a diagnosis of cancer. Yoga lessened the anxiety I was going through at the time. After a good outcome, I decided to pursue a teacher training course to deepen my practice. During this course, I was introduced to yin yoga and knew that this was what I wanted to teach.
I have my 200 E-RYT degree together with Yin Yoga, Level 1 and 2
I love how yoga is such a wonderful expression of mind, body and breath movement. Growing up with music and dance my whole life, I was so excited to discover yoga after college as another expression of movement.
The best decision was to enroll and graduate the 200-hour yoga teacher training with the Om Factory in May 2019.
Grew up in Orlando, Florida. Graduated from UCF in 1995.
Married my high school sweetheart in 1996 and we have 3 lovely children. Love to spend time with my family and friends off my mat.
I’ve always known the importance of exercise, but it wasn’t until I was at a mental health conference in 2011 that I experienced yoga. I work with people on their mindsets, many of which are rigid, stuck, painful, etc and realize these same things happen in our bodies and that combining therapy and yoga it leads to so much happiness, ease and balance that we all so desperately need and this lead me to get my RYT 200 in 2019. I enjoy teaching a vigorous practice as well as deep stretch. I look forward to sharing my love of yoga with others.
After attending my first yoga class in 2008, I had a deep feeling that yoga would become an integral part of my life. Quickly, I became hooked on how yoga made me feel physically, mentally, and emotionally. Early on, in my yogic journey, I knew that I wanted to share these ancient knowings with others. Having been an elementary education teacher, I already had a passion for teaching. In April 2010, I received my 200-hour Yoga Alliance Certification at Joyful Yoga, in Bonita Springs, Florida. In September 2014 my husband's job brought us to Mooresville. My mission is to spread love and peace.
I have been growing and learning through movement for quite some time. I started dancing at age 8, and continued into college. I started yoga to offset my dance, but love it so much that when the opportunity presented itself I decided to become a yoga teacher.
When I'm not teaching I am spending time with my husband and two children.
I began practicing yoga in 2002 to help me quit smoking. I practiced at home on and
off for several years with a few DVD’s, but it wasn’t until after the birth of my second
child that I went into a studio for the first time. Practicing in a studio setting
changed my entire practice and opened me up to a whole new world of yoga
possibilities I never knew existed. Within the first month of practicing in a studio, I
knew I wanted to become a yoga teacher so I could share with others the same
peaceful, energizing, and empowering feeling that yoga gives to me. I love that yoga
is for people of all ages, backgrounds, and levels of fitness. I also love the connection
between body, mind, and spirit allowing me to include my Christian faith in my own
practice.
I received my 200 hour RYT training in 2013 and began teaching in January 2014.
I am a certified 200hr YT including advanced TT with various teachers at World Peace Yoga in Cincinnati. I began in gymnastics, but the love of movement carried over into yoga. I have been teaching for about 16 years. When I'm not teaching yoga, you will find me spending time with my family. I am also a fiber artist and take joy in everything from spinning to knitting.
I have been teaching Yoga in the Lake Norman area for about 20 years. I received my RYT200 from the Bodhi School of Yoga, here in Charlotte for the training but based in New York. I also have my 500 hours.
I have opened a yoga school and will begin classes September 2023 here at Your Karma.
Suffering from severe anxiety, depression & insomnia in my 30’s,I found my way to yoga. Falling in love with the practice immediately, I found yoga gave me the tools to regain control of my life.
After practicing for several years & wanting to share this gift with others, I went on to complete my 200-hour teacher training in 2015.
My goal as a teacher has always been making yoga accessible for all. I’ve been teaching chair yoga for several years now & I really love it! A chair yoga practice allows accessibility to EVERY BODY, no matter your size, age or mobility!
I want people to know yoga doesn't have to be complicated
Anyone can do yoga, there are no requirements. All you need is the desire to want to move and feel better. Feel better about yourself and the body you are in. This is not a weight-loss regiment. It’s to feel better, move more and connect to oneself.
I have my 200RYT and am currently pursuing my 500 hour certification. I have been practicing yoga for most of my life, but have only been exploring the emotional aspects of a consistent yoga practice. I have extensive experience in cheer and gymnastics so I am very comfortable understanding the bio mechanics of the body. The gift yoga brings to your mind, body and soul is something I love sharing with my students. Sending Love & Light
Yoga found me a few years ago during a difficult time in my life. I found liberation within my body that no medicine or doctor could have provided alone. Immediately, I was hooked. Yoga awakened parts of my mind, body and soul that has once lay dormant. I found that freedom and strength was within me all along. I love helping other strengthen their yoga practice and being a part of such a special community of yogis here at Your Karma.
I started working at Your Karma a few years after the studio opened. I love the energy and vibe of the studio. I love to practice yoga to offset my boot camp workouts. When I'm not at the studio you will find me at home, cooking or working in the yard spending time with my husband and two beautiful boys.
